From Teddy Jacobson:

(This was included in a personal e-mail and is very sound advice. I
would only add that where I live .40 S&W and .45 ACP are also very popular.)

I suggest you start buying some boxes of 9mm in quantities of 20 each
that you can barter with.  It's not if we will be hit but when. You can
barter a small box of 9mm bullets for food and water.

Think about the "DAY AFTER"  Our job will be to survive.

From the Tucson Rod & Gun Club:

Dear Fellow Gun Owner,

I want to thank all of you who have recently made donations to the range
construction fund. Thanks to your generosity our fundraising drive is
off to a great start!

Your contributions will go toward building a new shooting facility
designed to serve all shooting disciplines and calibers and will include
a rifle range, a pistol range, a shotgun range, a plinking range and
facilities for practical shooting, cowboy action shooting, trap and
skeet, sporting clays and archery. This facility will provide the
citizens of Tucson with a long needed full service shooting range and
gun safety and hunter education facility.

We are now in the second stage of the permitting process for this new
range. At this stage we must decide what shooting venues can be
constructed in the first phase of construction and what venues will have
to wait until additional funding becomes available.

We are pursuing multiple avenues for funding the construction of this
shooting range. We have received commitments from several Tucson
businesses for heavy equipment and materials for construction and we are
actively soliciting further such commitments. In addition, there are
grants available for shooting range construction on a fund matching
basis so that, for every dollar that we commit to construction, the
grant will match that amount dollar for dollar. However, in order to
obtain a fund matching grant we have to have the funds to match. This is
why we still need contributions from gun owners like you.

So, if you haven't yet decided to make a contribution, please keep in
mind that, before we can plan the construction of a given section of the
range we have to show that we have the financial capability to fund that
construction. Now is the time to join us in this effort to finally give
Tucson the shooting range we have all waited so long for. We ask for
your commitment to help make this new range a success by making special
gift of $250, $100, $75, $50, $25 or whatever contribution you can make.

Please act today to help us build this shooting range.

For your convenience you can now make your donation by credit card. Just
