How To End Up On A No-Fly List?: With the prospect that people whose
names appear on no-fly lists could be denied the right to purchase
firearms, it's interesting to read how reporter Arnaud de Borchgrave
d'Altena ended up on such a list, allegedly because his name is similar
to that of a "real" suspect.

Control Assault Journalists: Alan Gottleib uses the Newsweek scandal to
show what journalists would feel like if the First Amendment were
honored the same way as the Second Amendment is today.

Et Tu, Pennsylvania?: I don't know the progress of this bill but here's
Pennsylvania's proposed ban on cosmetically impaired firearms.

A Bit Late?: From Alan Korwin, on Arizona's vetoed restaurant-carry bill
- "After four months of deceptive reporting, leading to the defeat of an
important bill, the Arizona Republic today (Mon. 5/23/05) finally set
the record straight (sort of), by publishing an editorial I wrote
addressing the grotesque media abuses we endured. See it on p. B7, or
read it below. Surprisingly, it ran unedited. Not surprisingly, the
truth remained suppressed until now."

From VCDL:
Ladies and Gentlemen,
We still haven't had any response from the Department of the Interior, nor
from the National Parks Service, regarding VCDL's Petition for Rule Making
that they have had since February! The Petition asks that National Parks
assimilate local gun laws, like National Forests already do. That would
allow gun owners in Virginia to carry in National Parks in Virginia. It
would also allow citizens to carry in many other states, as well.
VCDL is readying postcards for distribution at gun shows, but we are also
setup now to send emails to President Bush, National Park Director Fran
Mainella, and Department of the Interior Secretary Gale Norton.
Simply click below to send the same message to all three people:

Let's make sure that there is no doubt in their minds that freedom loving
citizens want to be able to carry in national parks! Pass this on to any
other lists you think appropriate.

In-Car Safe Feedback: I have gotten some feedback suggesting that the
quality of the in-car safe, to which I provided a link, may not be that
great. I will provide a report of my own when I receive the one that I
ordered. Several models of different designs are offered by V-Line
Industries and one list member and fellow instructor likes their Hide-Away.
