The first Mac edition of Hayden's Boggle clone was on its way out
before 1984 was even through. In its place came this improved release,
which leveled the playing field for hunt-and-peck typists by allowing
words to be selected by mouse.
The board can be three, four, or five tiles across. Other rules can
also be customized, and boards can even be laid out manually.
Although the disk was last modified in mid-December '84, the new title
didn't replace the original Word Challenge in mail order listings for
a few months, leaving the date copies first reached end users
ambiguous. Early copies were shipped in Word Challenge boxes with
makeshift Word Challenge II covers under the shrinkwrap.
