Lode Runner is the classic Apple ][ gold-gathering platformer. This is
the original monochrome Mac port from 1984, which still works except
that clicking in the main window crashes the game under some OS
versions (but you can still play with keyboard control - IJKL to move,
UO or SF to dig, D or any other non-playing key to stop). Also
includes the levels from 'Championship Lode Runner' and 'Revenge of
Lode Runner', which are much more challenging.

Level hint guide can be found at:

Also in this series: [Lode Runner: The Legend Returns][1], [Lode
Runner On-Line: The Mad Monks' Revenge][2], [Lode Runner 2][3]

Compatibility
Architecture: 68k

When running on later 68k and/or PowerPC based Macintosh models, keep
mouse inside game window. v1.2 image in download is MFS and can be
loaded on 128k or 512k Macs running any System version. v1.0 image is
HFS.

The largest download is a flux-based disk image (A2R) captured with an
Applesauce FDC. Its contents can be viewed using the [Applesauce
client software][4]. It is suitable for writing back to another floppy
disk using an Applesauce FDC.

The MOOF disk image is a derivation of the A2R disk image. It is
bootable in MAME 0.248 and later.
