Explore forest, jungle, sea and desert in search of the... Enchanted
Scepters!

This is the first game created with the [World Builder engine][1],
which was later [sold to the public][2] as a user-friendly adventure
creation system.

Despite popular rumor to the contrary, Enchanted Scepters was neither
the first Mac game with digitized sound (that was Silicon Beach's
other title, [Airborne!][3], in 1985), nor the first adventure game
with a point-and-click interface (ICOM Simulations' [Dj Vu][4] was
out a couple months earlier on the Mac, and T&E Soft's [Planet
Mephius][5] for the Japanese FM-7 dates all the way back to July
1983). The confusion about this may result from the fact that the
Enchanted Scepters box and disk feature a 1984 copyright date, but the
game was in fact released in November 1985.

[Lost Crystal][6] is a fan-created sequel.

Download #3 is a 32-bit clean copy of Enchanted Scepters in .dsk
format hacked for compatibility with BasiliskII and SheepShaver. Sound
does not work in BasiliskII or SheepShaver.

Compatibility
Architecture: 68k

The original app (DL#1 and DL#2) was tested in Mini vMac II with
System 7.1.1 (and it opens without crashing), so it should also work
in Mini vMac II with Systems 7.0.1 and 6.0.8, as well as in Mini vMac
with Systems 6.x and older.

The 32-bit-compatible version (DL#3) should work in Basilisk II or
later, with System 7.x or later, but WITHOUT SOUND.
