Demon 1.02b: Level editor, never went beyond the beta stage.
Hellmaker 1.1 & 1.2b2: Level editor, shareware, with $10 registration
fee.
Wad Builder 1.0: Level editor, freeware.
MacBSP 1.0: Nodes Builder for Doom, based on BSP.
MacHexBSP 1.0: Nodes Builder for Hexen, based on BSP.
Doominator 2.0: Mac equivalent of DeHackEd, doesn't change the
miscellaneous, sounds, text, sprite names and cheat codes classes.
DeMackEd 2.5: Additional EXE hacker, requires Doominator to run.
Deimos 0.41b: Utility for pasting your graphics and sounds into wads.
WADenizer 2.0: Utility for converting PC wads into Mac wads.
WADWorks Suite: Three tools for working with Doom and Hexen sounds.
I saw all of these mentioned on Doomworld regarding utilities for the
Mac, and acquired every single one of them to make sure they were
properly preserved, in case the original download links I got these
from one day go down. Plus, I think it will be nice to have all of
these programs in one place.
When fiddling with these programs, make sure to back up any Doom WADs
you edit, and/or back up the Doom launcher you edit as well.
Tested on a PowerBook G4 M8592 (with Mac OS 9.2.2). Considering the
age of the Macintosh Doom ports, these utilities should work on 68K,
but that hasn't been tested. If they do, feel free to revise this
page.
