Version 1.02 of a very underrated (real Underdog!) Macintosh Finder
replacement, but runs fine as standard Finder application as well.
Features a complete list of files on hard disk drives connected to the
Macintosh.
The story of XTreeMac can be found at the [XTree Fan Page.][1]
Downloads:
#1: The application only (missing Help)
#2: A more complete folder version taken from the
"Eagles_Nest_Mac_Collection_Disc_1" that includes a very useful Help
file. However, this .sit archive also has a problematic file inside,
called Training.
\- StuffIt 1.5.1 will open the archive but when asked to extract
Training will say: "This entry uses a format which this version of
StuffIt cannot understand. Maybe this archive is bad...or maybe you
just need a newer version of StuffIt!"
\- StuffIt 3.5.1 will open the archive but when asked to extract
Training will say: "Sorry, but a disk related error (Disk Full) has
prevented the operation from completing." even with plenty of space.
\- StuffIt Expander 4.0.1 will open the archive and extract the
contents but with regard to the Training file will say: "The integrity
of the data fork of this file could not be verified. Use this file
with caution."
#3: A more convenient, restuffed version of #2, including what StuffIt
Expander 4.0.1 was able to make of the Training file.
Maybe someone else can figure out if there's a better way to open
download #2 or confirm that the Training file was damaged when
originally archived.
