This is Xcode 4.2 for Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard (build #4C199), the
final version to run on Snow Leopard, and, by extension, 32-bit Intel
Macs. It includes the SDKs for Snow Leopard and iOS 5, and includes
LLVM-GCC 4.2.1 as the compiler.

Given that this software is normally only available to those with paid
Apple Developer accounts - seemingly for no reason in particular - it
is being posted here for ease of access for everyone.

If you are looking for Xcode 4.2 for Lion, this is NOT the download
for you. Not only will this version not run on Lion, but the Lion
version is still available for download from the Apple Developer
website for anyone, even free accounts. A direct link to this version
can be found [here][1]. Lastly, newer versions of Xcode for Lion are
available, up to [4.6.3][2].
