Microsoft Windows Media Player for Macintosh plays multimedia files in
Windows Media format. Use Web Guide, Music, and Radio buttons to
locate files in Windows Media format on the World Wide Web. You can
view live news updates or broadcasts of your favorite sports team,
review music videos, preview clips from a new movie, or "attend" a
concert or seminar.

One of the first attempts from Microsoft to bring their horrid file
formats to mac, in the dark years when internet were polluted with
them.
