> "Dollar for dollar, TouchBASE is the most functional piece of
> Macintosh software I've ever seen?"
> ? Guy Kawasaki, author of The Macintosh Way Introduction
> TouchBASE is a database to keep track of personal and business
> contacts. Because it's a desk accessory, TouchBASE is handy all the
> time?no matter what applications or Macintosh you're using. Adding
> Adding contacts is a snap. TouchBASE will automatically capitalise
> words and format phone numbers. You can customize fields to store
> special information. TouchBASE has "auto-scrolling" for hands-free
> browsing of your data. TouchBASE will even dial the telephone for
> you. Searching and Sorting
> TouchBASE lets you search through your records in a variety of
> ways. You can search through a single field or combination of
> fields. You can do "Begins with," "Equals," "Between," and
> "Contains" searches. You can also search for marked records,
> checkboxes, and text within the "notes" field. TouchBASE also allows
> you to sort your records with a multi-level sort of up to 3 levels.
> Printing
> Printing is one of TouchBASES's most powerful features. You can
> print envelopes and labels (not one at a time but as many as you
> want) plus address books, fax cover sheets, and listing reports. To
> make printing easy we've included Avery and Dennison labels, #10 and
> #6 envelopes templates, and DayRunner and Day-Timer address-book
> templates. Importing, Exporting and Merging
> Using TouchBASE with other programs is a snap too. You can import
> from products like HyperCard, FileMaker, Microsoft Works, and Excel
> as well as other Macintosh programs. You can export TouchBASE data
> to create personalized letters. To make this even easier, we've
> included MacWrite, Word, WriteNow and WordPerfect mail-merge
> templates. TouchBASE even allows for direct transfer of TouchBASE
> data to the Sharp Wizard 7000 and 8000 series. Sharing
> On top of all this, TouchBase is a multi-user product so that you
> can either use it all by yourself or share a database with others on
> a network. All you need are fileserver software or Personal
> AppleShare in System 7, and multiple copies of TouchBASE. | |
