TIGER aka The Internet Gateway Enclosure Retriever

TIGER can decode uuencoded files (a popular file encoding technique
for UNIX systems). It also can decode AppleSingle files (a format for
storing Macintosh files on other computer systems).

To use TIGER, simply choose Extract from the File menu and select a
file to extract enclosures from. Any enclosed files will be extracted
and put in the same folder as the original file. The original file is
not modified.

Uuencoded files should have file type TEXT and AppleSingle files
should have file type BINA (binary). If extracting from a uuencoded
file produces an AppleSingle file, the AppleSingle file is
automatically decoded to produce the final Macintosh file. This
feature makes TIGER ideal for retrieving files from Internet mail
messages created by the AppleLink, CC:Mail, and Microsoft Mail
Internet mail gateways.
