Thank you for downloading "The D.I." There are two sources of
inspiration for this program. First the movie (of the same name) kills
me. There are some really great lines in it and I highly reccomend it.
Secondly I have also written a program called "Crystal Ball" that uses
almost identical source code. This allowed me to put this program
together rather quickly. (about an hour)
Anyway, its for startup. If you are using system 7 just put it in your
startup folder and it will display a pict file, play a sound (chosen
at random) then quit. If you are using system 6 then just set this as
your startup application in "set startup". It will perfrom the same
function on both versions of the system.
Yeah, I know, it wont change the world, but its pretty fun and it
gives me a chance to stretch my programming muscles. (This is my
second Pascal program). The sounds were recorded with the Farallon
MacRecorder software/hardware package, and the code was written and
compiled with THINK Pascal 4.0.
By all means let me know what you think. If you would like a copy of
the source code that allowed me to write this (Crystal Ball) then call
my BBS.
