Tailor: a visual PostScript editor
Visual PostScript editing
Tailor allows you to visually edit virtually any PostScript or
Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) file. Once opened, the file appears on
the screen in wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) form. You can now
manipulate any object by using familiar editing tools like the
selection arrow. Drag selected objects with the mouse to move them, or
transform them using special transformation tools (rotate, scale,
shear). There are also tools to add objects such as text, boxes,
circles and paths. You can browse the pages of a multipage document
and remove, add or reorganize pages.

Tailor requires absolutely no knowledge of the PostScript language. If
you are familiar with any graphic editing program, you will
immediately feel comfortable with Tailor.

Tailor contains a full PostScript interpreter. It even lets you edit
hand written PostScript code or PostScript graphs generated by
specialized scientific or mathematical programs.

Format conversion
Besides editing, Tailor also allows you to convert PostScript files.
For instance, you can open a PostScript file, select an illustration
from page 9 and save it into an EPS file. You can also convert any EPS
file to PostScript. Tailor makes this an easy one-step process.

Another powerful feature of Tailor is Save as Illustrator. It lets you
save any part from any PS or EPS file as a native Adobe Illustrator 3
file.

Alternatively, you can extract the text in the PostScript file so you
can edit it in your word-processor. Tailor allows you to save the text
as plain text (ASCII) or as formatted text (Rich Text Format). If you
save as formatted text, paragraph information and most typographic
attributes are preserved.

Tailor 1.1 PPC 68K.sea : contains a fat binary that will run on
PowerPC and on any 68K based Macintosh (68020 or higher).

Tailor 1.1 PPC 68KFPU.sea : contains a fat binary that will run on
PowerPC and on any 68K based Macintosh that has a hardware floating
point unit.

Tailor 1.1 Doc.sea contains the complete manual in HTML format, a
simple HTML viewer, some sample files and Tailor Converter.
