Install set of Aladdin StuffIt Standard Edition, version 8.0.2 for PPC
Mac OS X. This install consists of the freeware StuffIt Expander and
shareware versions of DropStuff, DropZip and DropTar.

In the Preferences settings of each app, turn off version checking for
new updates. This stops this software from attempting to connect to
the internet each time it's launched.

Getting DropStuff version 8 to create archives compatible with StuffIt
Expander version 5.5
( a useful tip for stuffing classic Mac OS files before uploading them
here ).

 * In DropStuff's Preferences; Set:
   1. Archive type to "StuffIt" (not StuffIt X)
   2. Compression level to "Faster Compression"
   3. Check "Ignore Finder desktop files" (omits OS X hidden files .DS_Store, etc).
