> Objective Software is putting the final touches on SpreadBase, an
> application that combines the advantages of a spreadsheet and a
> relational database.
>  ...
>  SpreadBase presents data in a spreadsheetlike interface, but the
> data in each cell is linked to an underlying relational database.
>  ...
>  SpreadBase's interface presents data in a format familiar to
> spreadsheet users. It also incorporates an outliner, with which
> users may distribute information within their viewing matrix.
>  Data can be instantly rearranged, for instance, to be displayed in
> certain rows or columns and by various categories.
>  SpreadBase's controller works directly below the interface level,
> setting up new data views and handling each individual cell as a
> database record.

Download contains an unregistered copy of version 1.0. Use serial
number OSI-1-F-002-00605-100 (see About Box screenshot). Read the
README file for information on installing the training. SpreadBase is
very complicated and you will be lost without the training.

When installing under System 7.5.5 (at least) the installer did not
set the application type and creator code for the main SpreadBase 1.0
application file. Set them to APPL and JJRR with ResEdit or your
favorite file editor.

Compatibility
Architecture: 68k

Minor glitches under System 7.5.5.
