Snitch, first released in 1993, is a Finder enhancement Control Panel
that extends the "Get Info" dialogue box allowing you to view and edit
information about the selected file, alias, folder, or disk. Snitch is
also modular, allowing new plugins and functionality to be developed
for it.

The SnitchLib and Snitch Contextual Menu files are only installed on
Power Macintoshes.

Snitch 2.6.7 silently disables itself in Mac OS X Classic Mode.

Snitch will be temporarily disabled if the Control Panel window is
active. If this is the case, and the user attempts to Get Info on a
file, a warning will be presented and the normal Get Info dialogue
will be shown instead.
