So much better than screenshots
Record exactly what you see on your screen and make it a screencast.
Whether you're tech support looking for a smart way of visually
documenting the solution to a recurring problem, if you long to
capture and distribute your university lectures or plain simply want
to show the world your browser game high score via YouTube.com -
Screenium will get out of your way and simply capture the video for
you.
The best way of teaching is by example
Don't just describe a person what to do! It's slow, it's frustrating
and chances are it's easily forgotten so you'll have to repeat that
lesson at some point. Instead, record a screencast of your
instructions and make it available online. What started as a one-on-
one tutorial could help thousands of less experienced users all over
the world.
Compatible with video editing software
Edit your videos with common editors like iMovie or Final Cut. Simply
export your videos from Screenium's Library in your preferred editing
format. All Screenium videos are encoded with standard Quicktime
codecs which ensures they can easily be edited without having to
install additional codecs.
Capture System Audio
Preserve everything you hear out of your Mac's speakers. Screenium
utilises the well-respected SoundFlower audio driver to capture all
audio from applications, websites and the system itself internally. So
if you'd like to show how to find a video file on YouTube, how to
preview a song in iTunes or start a video chat, all audio you hear -
your screencast's viewers will hear it, too.
Include a video feed
Optionally include a video of yourself by means of your iSight or any
other Quicktime compatible webcam. Use Screenium to record a lecture?
A webcam is perfect for capturing a whiteboard or flip-chart, too.
Visualisation
Direct your viewers' attention through the use of mouse visualisation.
Single-click or double-click an item? The mouse click counter helps
answer that question. Simply set and forget the visualisation and let
Screenium take care of the details - so you can completely concentrate
on your demonstration.
When you export your screencast, mouse visualization is automatically
added.
HotText
Structure longer videos by invoking the display of chapter names with
the HotText feature. If you're a first take-person, you won't even
have to edit your lecture afterwards.
Share your videos
When you've finished creating an instructional video for your parents
or friends, customers or colleagues, export it in any video format
supported by Quicktime. Make it available on a network server, your
website, upload it to YouTube.com or any other video sharing portal.
The more people can access your work, the merrier. Export the videos
for Macs, iPhones or the AppleTV. Use Quicktime to convert videos for
Windows PCs.
