Radiation and Trigger is a joke software package that can be useful.
It has two parts, an extension (Radiation) and an application
(Trigger). You install the extension on the target computer, and can
then send dialog boxes over the network to that machine from your own.

As a kid I used this to wind up my brother by sending progressively
more silly dialog boxes while he was trying to do some 3D modelling. I
think I remember it culminating in his computer making demands about
Jaffa Cakes.

This said, it can be a useful network management tool, similar to
NetSend on Windows, allowing you to send messages to other users on
the network.

From the readme :
This hack was originally designed as a practical joke on in-house
software beta testers, who would diligently write down every error
that appeared on their screens, until the errors became so frequent
and absurd that they'd get that "candid camera" kind of feeling, and
the joke would be revealed.

Compatibility
Architecture: 68k PPC

Requires System 7. I haven't tested it on Mac OS 9, but I think I
remember having the extension installed on an 8600 running 8.6.
