Software for interpreting [WEFAX transmissions][1]

First of all, I?m not a radio amateur. I know just enough to tune my
radio to one of the stations and connect it to my Macintosh. For this
reason, I?m simply not qualified to give advice on radios, antennas,
modulation methods, etc.

Listen to the sound file included with this package if you want to
know what a typical WEFAX transmission sounds like. It?s taken from
the end of map and if you can play it back to your Mac, you can see
what those last few lines were.

A WEFAX transmissions starts with some sort of synch signal. Since I
always seemed to miss that signal (or didn?t want to wait for one),
RadFax treats it as just a part of the picture. You have to adjust the
top left corner of the document yourself. Command-click on the corner
to set it. Note that the operation is non-destructive, since the data
just wraps around. You have to set the scans per minute value (or
lines per minute, usually 60, 90 or 120) manually before creating the
document.
