Why is puriTEXT needed?
I have written this little program to save the disk space by reducing
the size of document files. Most text editors store their preferences
data, including tab stops, font information and others, in the
resource fork of each document file, which may make up to about more
than 300 bytes. In the Macintosh file system, any fragment of data
file occupies at least one block size of disk space, which amounts to
16 K bytes for 1 GB hard disk! Are you still in peace with your hard
disks being invaded by space-eating worms?
