For Mac OS 9

If using the CD image to boot SheepShaver before installing the OS, it
must be locked before booting (else won't boot from image). Also lock
image if writing it to blank CD-R media, to ensure it remains
bootable. That is, do not mount this image on a Mac desktop, unlocked.

Far from being fickle, the North American system folder is needed for
some programs to run, like the demo version of QuarkXpress 5 available
on this site.
