This is a tool used for Blizzard games to decompress data from the
proprietary format used by Blizzard. This allows you to customize/mod
files, be it graphics, audio, or settings/customization. For Warcraft
3 specifically to use custom local files you HAVE to use the terminal
command:
defaults write "com.blizzard.Warcraft III" "Allow Local Files" -int 1
Download #1 is MPQ Extractor 1.0 native to Mac OS 10.4.x and up.
Current version is 12.x from Developer Macstorm. Backed up to the
Garden for older computers to be able to download on non-secured
sites.
