The Microsoft Office was introduced for the Macintosh in 1989, prior
even to its first release for Windows. This edition includes: Word
4.0, Excel 2.2, PowerPoint 2.01, and Mail 2.0. It was originally a
limited-time promotion but later became a regular product. With the
release of "Office", Microsoft became the first major Macintosh
publisher to put its applications on CD-ROM.
DL #1 is an ISO image of the original CD, and requires a Macintosh
emulator with accurate disk emulation to use (ie.: QEMU or MAME).
(This is an artifact of certain early CD-ROM authoring tools.)
DL #2 is an (uncompressed) DiskCopy 6 disk image of the CD-ROM disc,
intended for use with BasiliskII, SheepShaver, and/or MinivMac.
DL #3 contains high-resolution scans of the original packaging,
including the box, the CD sleeve, and the CD-ROM.
