> The GeoPort software include a first-rate telephony program:
> MegaPhone from Cypress Research. MegaPhone turns a GeoPort pod-
> equipped Mac into a telephone?[?improves audio compared to regular
> speakerphones?]

? [][1]Macworld, 1996 January, p.123

> [With MegaPhone 1.02,] you're limited to using specific, albeit
> commonly used, models [GeoPort adapter, Global Village Teleport 2V
> or Platinum, U.S. Robotics Sportster Voice, SupraFaxmodem V.32bis].
> [?] MegaPhone's call-management features are particularly well
> suited for mobile users. [?easily change your dialing prefixes and
> show the time in the destination you're calling?]
>
> The best part about telephony products is that they give you a
> better interface for dialing than your phone does. Among the
> features of Cypress Research's MegaPhone dialing interface, for
> instance, is the Backspace, a handy way to correct a misdialed
> number.

NOTE:
[Bing Software][3] acquired MegaPhone from Cypress Research on
1997-12-15. Bing Software branded and sold MegaPhone at least versions

homepage before August 2001. Development and distribution rights were
later acquired by [The MegaPhone Company][4], founded spring 2002.
Some other websites use the description provided by The MegaPhone
Company for their versions 9.0 and 10.0 for older versions of
