MediaTracks lets you translate the action on your Macintosh screen
into interactive multimedia presentations for use in training
sessions, on-line help systems, or business meetings. The product has
two parts: the desk accessory ScreenRecorder 2.0 enables you to make a
tape of screen activity, recording it to disk, and play back that
tape. The MediaTracks editor lets you enhance and edit the tapes with
sound, additional graphics, and interactive buttons. In addition, you
can integrate your work with Hypercard stacks or combine sessions to
create longer presentations (From InfoWorld 25 Sep 1990)
The download contains three disk images made from folders of floppy
disk contents. They are an Install Disk, a Program Disk and a Tutorial
Disk. The installer requires a master install disk to proceed and will
even delete the system from your floppy disk if you persist. It will
do this even on a locked disk! A key role of the install disk is to
install ScreenRecorder 2, but you can do this manually from the copy
on the [ScreenRecorder page][1]. The MediaTracks Program Disk and
Tutorial Disk can be accessed and used in the usual way.
