MaxFax Release Notes and Manual Changes
MaxFax 3.51 August 1994
? Note that when upgrading Maxfax from version 3.3.2 or earlier, that
your previous Maxfax Queue listings and the configuration options will
be lost. Please note all of your configuration settings and retrieve
all voice and fax messages before proceeding with your upgrade.

? After MaxFax answers the phone to take a voice message, the mouse
pointer changes to a different icon. Once this occurs, you can abort
the taking of a message by pressing the Command and Period keys on
your keyboard. This will force MaxFax to hang up the line allowing you
to handle the call yourself.
? New icons and color coding, Page 48
The MaxFax Queue now displays fax and voice messages in different
colors to help easily distinguish between the two. Voice messages are
now listed in blue and faxes are listed in black.
A new icon has been added to the Queue listing for outgoing faxes.
This icon is displayed when a fax is In Queue waiting to be sent and
when an error has occurred in transmission. Once the fax is
successfully sent, rescheduled or aborted, this icon is no longer
displayed next to the entry.
The icon for received faxes has also changed from the eyeglass icon to
an icon of a document. This icon will be displayed anytime a fax has
been received but not yet viewed.
? The MaxFax installer will place several LineShare? (Stalker
Software) scripts and modem description files in your MaxFax 3.5.1
folder. If you are using MaxFax in conjunction with LineShare?, you
will need to place these files in their proper places. Consult your
Lineshare? documentation.
TroubleShooting Tips
? When sending a fax, if you find that your modem stops sending CNG
tones before the remote fax has answered, try adding an X1 to the
initialization string for MaxFax. The initialization string box is
located in the Modem Settings window of the Maxfax application.
