MagiC Mac is an emulator of the Atari ST/TT computer line running the
[MagiC][1] multitasking [TOS][2]-compatible operation system, allowing
Atari users to run their software on top of Mac OS.
Several hardware components typical for the Atari ST/TT computers, as
blitter and sound chip, are simulated, thus giving MagiC Mac a high
compatibility to existing Atari ST programs. It support besides the
traditional screen resolutions of 640x400 in monochrome mode, 640x200
in 4-color mode and 320x200 in 16-color mode, arbitrarily chosen b/w
and color resolutions up to 16 colors.
Additional features:
? Reuse of Centronics interface printers using PowerPrint, McStout or
McStout Classic adapters.
? Reuse of SCSI hardware (external hard disks, CD-ROMs) possible.
? use of online and terminal programs through the Macintosh network
connections through ARA.
? file access to disk image container files or to host file system
(including access to floppy disk and SCSI volumes) is supported.
? exchange with Macintosh clipboard supported including ASCII
character conversion between Mac and Atari side.
? optional [NVDI][3] system extension supporting 8-, 16-, and 24-bit
color screen modes and use of TrueType fonts in Atari programs,
accelerated through QuickDraw.
? printing to any (local or network) Mac printer supported through
NVDI Mac
