The original release of the Apple Service MacTest utility disk, the
diagnostic tool provided by Apple to dealers and other service
providers for the Macintosh Plus and earlier. The download on this
page contains version 7.0 dated February 3, 1986, shortly after the
release of the Macintosh Plus.
To use, boot the target Macintosh from this floppy and select the
tests you would like to run, then click "Start". Serial tests require
loopback cables in order to run properly and will always fail if not
present. Some tests may require a restart (performed automatically) in
order to display the final results.

For use with: Macintosh 128k, Macintosh 512k, Macintosh 512ke, and the
Macintosh Plus. Will run under emulation, but fails with errors during
hardware tests.
