Download #1 is MacPython 2.3.5, the final version of Python for Mac OS. It requires Mac OS 9 and CarbonLib (might perhaps also work under Mac OS 8.6). It is marked as a "pre-production" version, and officially described as being "in beta stage or earlier", however also that it is "expected to be fully functional, unless otherwise noted", and there are no known regressions compared to earlier releases. While this downloaded is intended for Mac OS, a separate Mac OS X counterpart also exists and can be downloaded [here][1] (archive.org).

Download #2 is identical to download #1, but is an HQX-encoded file
instead of MacBinary-encoded.

Download #3 is the source code for MacPython 2.3.5 (note: the
separate, special GUSI download mentioned below is required to compile
it).

Download #4 is identical to download #3, but also HQX-encoded.

\---- MacPython 2.3.5, 2.3.3 and 2.2.3 ----

Download #5 is a specialized version of GUSI for Carbon required to
compile MacPython 2.3.5, 2.3.3 and 2.2.3 from source.

Download #6 is MacPython 2.3.3, the final "major" (non-pre-production) version of Python for Mac OS. It should have the same requirements as MacPython 2.3.5. Its Mac OS X counterpart is available [here][2] (archive.org).

Download #7 is identical to download #6, but is an HQX-encoded file
instead of MacBinary-encoded.

Download #8 is the source code for MacPython 2.3.3 (note: the
separate, special GUSI download mentioned above is required to compile
it). Designed to be compiled via CodeWarrior Pro 7.

Download #9 is identical to download #1, but also HQX-encoded.

\---- MacPython 2.2.3 ----

Download #10 is MacPython 2.2.3, the final version not to require
CarbonLib, and works with as far down as Mac OS 8.1.

Download #11 is identical to download #10, but is an HQX-encoded file
instead of MacBinary-encoded.

Download #12 is a patch to be installed on Mac OS 8.1 in order to run
the IDE of MacPython 2.2.3.

Download #13 is the source code for MacPython 2.2.3 (note: the
separate, special GUSI download mentioned above is required to compile
it).

Download #14 is identical to download #13, but also HQX-encoded.

Download #15 is a patch to be able to use CodeWarrior Pro 5.3 instead
of Pro 7 to compile the extension module developer package in
MacPython 2.2.3.
