MacLin is a pocket calculator for Linear Programming. It is as much a
philosophy as a program, and it is unlike any other linear programming
program you are likely to have seen before (except, of course,
LinProg, described in Appendix D).
Just so there is no confusion, understand that the main purpose of
MacLin is not to solve linear programming problems. As a side effect,
it does happen to be an effective mechanism for doing this, but its
real mission is teaching.
