 * DL #2: is 78FDB784, 4MB ROM from Beige G3 mini-tower 266MHz
   (Thanks, WhosIt.There).

 * DL #3: 4MB ROM from Twentieth Anniversary Macintosh, supplied by
   Larsenv.

 * DL #4: 2x 4MB ROM's from what is suspected to be dumped from a
   Power Express (9700 Prototype).

 * DL #5: 2MB ROM from the Japan-released PowerBook 550c

 * DL #6: ROM dumped from a Quadra 800, courtesy of Mac84.

 * DL #7: TNT Development ROM from [PCI Mac DDK A5][1]. Family $77D,
   Version 2.8a5, Checksum 67A1AA96.

 * DL #8: SE/30 ROM dump. Checksum: 97221136. Size: 262,144 bytes /
   256K. I confirmed the file dumped is exactly the same after
   dumping 4 different SE/30 ROM SIMMs, some with 2 chips and others
   with 4. I also confirmed the file was the same when dumping with
   the [][2]CopyRoms app and the [CopyROM][3] app. ? JDW

 * DL #9: A (hopefully) complete listing of available Apple ROMs, /w
   checksums, tech info & comments. The list comes in various
   formats.

This collection of ROM files is the result of [the MG's earlier
request][4] to build up our knowledge of existing Macintosh ROMs.

It is also fairly comprehensive. That is, the 1st 8 characters in
front of each ROM name represents the ROM for that model of Mac. If
you have a Mac not included in the above list and would like to add
its ROM here, you would need to check against these codes to see if it
matches any of the above. Instructions for how to do this are given in
the earlier request forum thread, linked above. It is likely tho' as
in the case of Performa Macintosh's, their equivalent Mac models will
find a matching hex value listed above (meaning they are the same).

Alternative Download for DL #1 ? from the [Internet Archive][5]

NOTE: These are all ["Old World ROM"][6] machines. Newer machines
(["New World ROM"][7]) have much smaller ROMs and load the majority of
the classic MacOS from a file in the System Folder named "Mac OS ROM".
