## Mac OS 7.5.5 Update

This is Mac OS 7.5.5. It was an update for users of Mac OS 7.5.3 which
fixes most of the bugs. Additionally, this is the last version of Mac
OS to run 24-bit programs and run on 32-bit "dirty" models of Macs.

MacAddict005wSys75updts.zip: Zipped .iso image of MacAddict Magazine's
Jan 1997 Coverdisc CD #005, which includes both "System 7.5 Update
2.0" (to 7.5.3) and "System 7.5.5 Update". So this one image can take
you from 7.5.x to 7.5.5.

While the original 7.5.5 update above did not work in these models
such as Power Macintosh 5500/6500 and 7300/8600/9600, it contains the
special specific software components and features.

### Power Macintosh 5500 Series Restore

This is the restore CD of Power Macintosh 5500 series in 1997, may
also work for 6500 series but this one has the different bundled
software with Mac OS 7.5.5 (System Enabler 411), several applications
(also games) such as ClarisWorks Office 4.0v3, Super Maze Wars 1.2 and
Lemmings 1.5.2, and much more.

### Power Macintosh 6500 Series: The Home Macintosh restore

This is the restore CD of Power Macintosh 6500 series "The Home
Macintosh" in 1997, prepared by Euryale. Contents are similar than
6400 series restore. It was designed for home use only. Bundled
Software inculde Apple Internet Connection Kit 1.2, ClarisWorks 4.0v4,
Quicken SE 7 and more.

December 1996 entitled "Special Edition", then "You're Special" when
mounted. Suitable for any Macintosh, 68k or PPC capable of booting up
to Mac OS 7.5.3 or 7.5.5

This is a bootable CD ROM containing Mac OS 7.5.3 install sets for
multiple language groups, plus the Mac OS 7.5.5 update for US English,
and Mac OS 7.5.5 Beta for International English, only.

For 5500/6500 restore, Most applications on this CD are designed for
the Power Macintosh computers or SheepShaver.
For the sufficient reasons, this CD and the hard disk configuration
works in Basilisk II & SheepShaver.
Some Apple Telecom software only works for SheepShaver. 68K versions
is only compatible for Quadra AV or PowerBook computers. You need the
GeoPort Telecom Adapter, GeoPort Internal Modem and Macintosh Express
Modem to work the Apple Telecom software.
