MacClade is a specialty program for editing and manipulating data with
tree-like data structures. Although many data sets can potentially be
organized in this way, it is particularly relevant in the field of
evolutionary biology, where tree structures are used to group
organisms into categories such as order, phylum, and, per the name of
the program, clades. Example data sets are provided, including a tree
titled "Vertebrates".
Although a printed manual is alluded to, extensive help can also be
found in the Apple Menu.
