Disc v1.0 (DVD DL)
Note: All part-file archives in this page have an additional
underscore "_" in their filenames, between ".zip" and the ending
".00n" as in: ...DL.zip_.001, etc.; ?The upload mechanism adds this
underscore for security reasons during uploading. This underscore in
the filename may fool some archiving apps when trying to merge all
file parts back together causing a failure to complete the
reconstruction of the .iso correctly.
* To successfully recombine the part files:
1. Have all part files (.001 to .009) for DL's #1 to #9 "Mac OS X Install" in one folder on their own.
2. Have all part files (.001 to .006) for DL's #10 to #15 "Application Install" in another folder on their own.
3. Manually remove the last "_" from each part file name ending, "...DL.zip_00n" (to ...DL.zip.001 etc.;)
4. Open the first part-file (.001) in either folder, using an extraction tool of your choosing.
5. When recombined, repeat with the next folder's .001 part file.
* e.g.; [Keka][1] is able to fully restore this archive OK.
Compatibility
Architecture: x86 (Intel:Mac)
Important: Upon rejoining the part files back to the .iso file.
?Immediately get info on the rejoined .iso and ensure that the .iso is
made "Read Only" (click the "Locked" check box in the info window). If
you do not do this and burn or mount the .iso unlocked, it may fail as
a startup disk and will not be able to boot your Mac.
That is: Lock it immediately before doing anything else with it, to
keep it safe.
