These are the Developer Previews (not the public beta) of Mac OS X
10.0. These preview versions of the system were made available to
developers only, from between May 1999 and May 2000.

In DP1 and DP2, OS X looks very similar to Mac OS 9, with distinct
OPENSTEP elements. With DP3, Apple introduced the first version of
Aqua, which evolved with every new beta version of the OS.

 * DL #6: Update patches for (DL #1) Developer Preview 1, sourced
from ADC Seed disc, Sept. 1999.
 * DL #7: Disk Image of a fresh install of Developer Preview 4 on a
PowerBook G3 (Firewire / 2000 aka "Pismo"). This is for anyone
having issues installing the the DP and wants to do a restore to a
real disk, or doesn't have a Developer Preview compatible Mac and
just wants to mount the disk image to explore the volume and maybe
copy out some apps to run on their Mac running a newer version of
Mac OS X. You could possibly even use this to restore inside a
virtual disk. A lot of the software in the Developer Preview can
be copied and run on Mac OS X 10.0 - 10.5, including the 10.5.9
Sorbet Leopard mod by z970, and those apps will likely will run
under Rosetta on 10.4-10.6 on Intel Macs.

Disk Image Details:
Partition size was about 1.8GB, to restore this using Disk Utility,
you'll want to set a partition of 2GB, or use Disk Utility or the
Terminal to reduce the disk image size before restoring, otherwise you
may get a warning that the destination isn't large enough.

IP is setup for DHCP. It detected 2 ethernet ports ?Built-in Ethernet?
and ?Ethernet Card? on my Pismo. One of those may be my USB 802.11n
dongle. Not sure.
Remote access is on.
Time Zone is set to EST.
All sleep settings are set to never (don?t need to find out there?s
any wake from sleep bugs).
I left most of the defaults in place, but did drop 4 orders into the
Dock for quicker access.

 * DL #8: Zip file of the preinstalled / default applications that
come with Developer Preview 4, for anyone that doesn't have a
Developer Preview compatible Mac, and wants to try to run them or
explore them in other version of Mac OS X (Many will run on Mac OS
   X 10.0 - 10.5, including the 10.5.9 Sorbet Leopard mod by z970,
and will likely will run under Rosetta on 10.4-10.6 on Intel
   Macs).
