This official update to Mac OS 8.6 affects just one file, the "Mac OS
ROM". It installs a new ROM file version 1.6 dated May 14 1999 and
1,949,186 bytes raw. In OS X Tiger File Info, this new ROM file's
version states only that it is "Mac OS ROM Update 1.0"
