> This is the latest release of Macintosh system software, with a new
> Installer that lets you install
>  System 7 software over the network. This means that you can upgrade
> every Macintosh within a large organization from a file server
> established as an upgrade station-it's no longer necessary to carry

 * DL #1: Original CD ISO image file of the Mac System 7.0 CD-ROM in
a ".zip" archive. This disk was designed for System Administrators
enabling them to update corporate workstations to the the latest
System Software version 7.0 via their networks or update existing
System 6 workstations with System 7 compatible printer drivers for
   their networked printers.
This disk is not bootable and does not install SSW 7.0 to the Mac it
is directly mounted on.

 * DL #2: Modified CD ISO image file of the Mac System 7.0 CD-ROM in
a StuffIt v2 ".sit" archive. This disk image is based on the above
original CD image. The main difference is that this disk image is
bootable and can install SSW 7.0 directly onto the Mac it boots up
to. For example, it can be dropped onto a Mini vMac icon to boot
it up, then drag an additional disk drive onto Mini vMac as a
secondary mounted disk drive and install SSW 7.0 directly onto it.

As well as System install software the Mac System 7.0 CD-ROM contains
documentation (mainly in the form of HyperCard Stacks) TrueType Fonts
and Printer Drivers (for SSW 6.0.7), HyperCard v1.2.2 and HyperCard
v2.1 ([Magic Edition][1]), plus tools for networking Macintosh
Systems.

Compatibility
Architecture: 68k

Bootable install (DL #2) or network-able install (DL's #1 & #2) of
System Software version 7.0
Also contains Disk Copy 4.2 floppy disk installation images of System
Software 6.0.2, SSW 6.0.3, SSW 6.0.4, SSW 6.0.5, SSW 6.0.7, & SSW 7.0
(There was no official SSW 6.0.6 release).

System 7.0 can be installed on any 68k Macintosh model capable of
booting up to System 7.0 except the Macintosh 128K, Macintosh 512K,
and Macintosh XL. System 7.0 also requires that a Macintosh computer
is equipped with at least 2 MB of RAM and a hard disk for installation
(a hard disk image file in the case of emulators).
