LabVIEW is commonly used for data acquisition, instrument control, and
industrial automation.

LabVIEW 5.0 introduced networking support on smaller systems. Version
5.0 was the final version to run on 68k-based Macintosh, the following
version, 5.1 was for Power Macintosh only.

 * DL #1: LabVIEW 5.0 including cracks for 68k and PPC ? in an OS X
   zip format archive (see "Notes" below).

 * DL #2: As above, but in a StuffIt 5.5 archive with the LabVIEW 5.0
   installers in an ISO image, accessible by most systems (on a
   classic Mac OS, extract then double-click to mount if the [Virtual
   CD/DVD Utility][1] is installed).

 * DL #3: The User Manual for v5.0 and the Manual addendum for v5.1.

Compatibility
Architecture: 68k PPC

 * v5.0:
   * Power Macintosh or Macintosh (with FPU installed)
   * System 7
   * minimum of 8 MB RAM
 * v5.1:
   * Power Macintosh
   * System 7 or 8
   * minimum of 24 MB RAM
   * at least 100 MB (minimal installation) or 120 MB (full installation) hard disk space
 * Notes:
   * DL #1's .zip archive contains an image file in "[ShrinkWrap 3.5][5]" format, which can only be accessed in a classic Mac OS, by using that software.
   * Plus, DL #1's archive is an OS X format zip file, which must be extracted using Mac OS X, so as not to destroy all of classic Mac Resource Fork data inside. ? Use DL #2 instead, as it's an easier to use archive.
   * Don't use the accompanying 68k [k] file, instead, register LabVIEW 5.0 using the code: G10X45921
   * LabVIEW 5.0 does not appear to be compatible with a 68k Mac OS 8.1 (Basilisk II) and will crash with error #10 when opening projects.
