Keka initially was an Open Source project but since version 1.0 the
source was closed. There is some source available from [GitHub.][9]
but this does not include the code for building Keka (for legal
reasons).
"The source code of Keka 1.0 will not be public due some legal issues.
Legal support is needed, if you can help the project, please get in
contact on
[email protected] or the Project page on the official Keka
website. Any help is welcome." ?notice included with every release

Compatibility
Architecture: PPC x86 (Intel:Mac)
The earliest versions made before v1.0 are Universal PPC/Intel. From
version 1.0 on they are Intel only. The newest versions (GitHub) are
Intel/iOS
Version 1.0.4 (Snow Leopard) is compatible with Mac OSs up to
Mavericks.
Keka is a generally-good archiving utility for OS X, especially the
later versions, but if on PowerPC, prioritize [The Unarchiver][13] and
[StuffIt Expander][14] for a GUI and decompression, or use [p7zip][12]
for truly the best tool in both compression and decompression.
If you need to extract 7-Zip archives using a Mac OS X earlier than
Tiger, then [p7zip][12] is your only option.
*ACE (unace) support was dropped with version 1.0 ? Perhaps just as
well, See [possible vulnerabilities here][3].
Note: unace is included in with download #1 (PPC encoded port).
