(@SkyCapt)_ Loosely bound are the original system requirements of
iWork '09. With a little editing of installers, I've placed 9.0.3 on
Tiger 10.4.8 with older QuickTime, and my limited testing looks like I
can go 9.0.4 there and everything works but there may be specific
functions broken this way. I recall for iWork'09 to work in Tiger
10.4.8 I had to introduce CoreVideo.framework to the OS is all. 9.0.3
is an important update to add because it starts the ability of Pages
to read many popular 'eBook' formats. 9.0.5 definitely requires
Leopard. I also found 9.0.5 began slowing my computer in an
unnecessary way and I could retain full speed by removing (or zipping
and erasing) the 9.0.5 Keynote app, while the 9.0.5 Pages & Numbers
apps & glue behind them did me no harm.
iWork 9.0.5 Update: requires Mac OS X 10.5.6. Updates Pages to 4.0.5;
Numbers to 2.0.5 (368); Keynote 5.0.5 (942).
iWork 9.3 Update: iWork Update 9.3 adds support for iWork for iOS 1.7
apps.
This update is recommended for users of iWork 9.0 and later, and
requires Mac OS X 10.7.5.

changes, please visit this site: <

iWork 9.3 is recommended for users of iWork 9.0 and later when using
OS X Lion v10.7.4 and above. Update 9.3 adds support for iWork for iOS
1.7 apps.
Newer versions of iWork (through to Mac OS 11 and later) maintain the
ability to export to iWork '09, the implication being this is version
('09) is still relevant and (probably) the best, most professional
version ever produced. Certainly it is to be preferred over any
version after it, as this was the most 'pro' version, aimed at DTP
professionals and designers.
