iTheater was an open source media player developed around the same
time as Apple's Front Row. It uses QuickTime libraries for playback
but is slightly more efficient and unlike Front Row, works on Panther
and early versions work on G3s too - I've only tried the last version
but it works fine on my 1.33Ghz 12" G4 Powerbook.
Apart from similar functionality to Front Row, it also offers
customisation and fun screen transitions.
