"HoverBar 1.0, by Guy Fullerton. The shareware fee is tiny compared to
the sheer utility you get from this program. You create bars, which
are rows of icons, that include whatever applications, documents, or
folders you want to have appear. Each bar can be tied to a specific
application. For example, I've got one called "Internet Bar" that is
displayed when I launch InterSLIP to make an Internet connection. From
this bar I can access Netscape, Eudora, NewsWatcher, TurboGopher,
Fetch, Anarchie... whatever I want. And on my desktop I have several
bars along the bottom of the screen. I keep UnStuffIt there, as well
as my most frequently used programs (like InterSLIP). And with a
customizable key-press (I use Command-`) the whole thing just
disappears. It's simpler than adding another menu, or cluttering the
Apple Menu more than it already is, and it isn't as inconvenient as
Control Strip... and besides, it's cool."
