The Hidden Finder Features control panel is for Mac OS 7.5.2 through
7.6.1. It unlocks four secret features that were included in these
systems, but left inaccessible by Apple:

 * Command-Delete moves selected items to the trash
 * Command-R reveals the original item that an alias points to
 * Control-dragging an item makes an alias of it
 * The "zoom rectangles" window-opening animation can be turned off

In particular, the Command-Delete shortcut is much quicker than
dragging items to the trash with a laptop trackball or trackpad.

DL#2: A folder with resources that help you incorporate the hidden
shortcuts into two of System 7's five "Finder Shortcuts" panels
(accessible via the Finder Help menu, when Apple Guide is disabled),
either as Scrapbook images or by using [ResEdit][1] to paste two PICT
resources into a copy of your "Finder Preferences" file. See before-
and-after screenshots.
