This is the software and drivers for the famous HyperDrive internal
hard drive upgrade for the original Macintosh 128k, 512k, and Plus by
General Computer Corporation.

DL #1: V2R1 has a smaller memory footprint and is best suited for non-
upgraded 128k & 512k, but will also work with Plus.

DL #2: V3R1 has added support for HFS and HyperDrive 2000 upgrade. It
will work with 128k, 512k, and Plus. This download is recommended
because "HyperDrive System Tools.image" contains "HyperTools" which
lets you Manually Park Heads. Your drive could be damaged during
transport if you don't first park the heads.

DL #3: V3R2 has added support for Finder 6/System 4.2 and HFS. This
release can only be used on a 128k ROM computer (512ke or Plus) with
an 800K floppy drive. Warning: V3R2 does not support the use of
HyperTools. For diagnostic, defragmentation, and repairs, you must
boot from the V3R1 HyperTools disk first.

DL #4?5: HyperDrive FX/FI software is for the external SCSI attached
HyperDrive hard drive, or the internal version of the same (SCSI)
drive for the Macintosh Plus, not the original HyperDrive.

DL #6: HyperDrive-Labels.zip are recreations of the labels for the
floppy disks. Included is the Avery 5196 floppy disk template.

DL #7: HyperDrive_Disk_Labels_Mod.zip is a slight modification of
HyperDrive-Labels, in PDF format, showing bitmapped icons of the main
apps for clarity as well as the size of disk (400K or 800K) on back.
Copyright dates were edited to reflect the date of the software on
disk. This PDF is useful in cases where Avery labels cannot be
purchased. Just print on an uncut A4 sized label sheet and manually
cut with an Xacto Razor Knife using the outlines as a guide.

The Manual links above are to two versions of the complete User's
Manual scanned to PDF and OCR'd to make them searchable. The 2nd
Edition manual covers the operation of both HyperDrive and HyperDrive
20.

[Dealer's Install Guide PDF][1]
Dealer Install Manual is incomplete as some pages are missing.
However, it still contains most of the important information for
installation or removal of a HyperDrive system.

The default HyperDrive system password is system password.
