Macromedia's SA (stand-alone) FlashPlayer 7 does not use a browser to
play .swf files, games etc;
It comes with an option to save .swf files as stand-alone playable
applications in their own right (double-click to play apps).
Macromedia calls this kind of app a "Projector".
This download contains the SAFlashPlayer in multiple languages,
German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Korean, Chinese and
Taiwanese.
Carbonized, the SAFlashPlayer runs on PPC Macs, OS version 8.6 to OS X
10.4.11 (Tiger). It may run on a Mac OS earlier than 8.6 but this is
untested by me.
By all accounts it requires a fast PPC especially if you want to play
or convert CPU intensive Flash games (such as [Pepsi-Pinball][1]), I
recommend a 1 GHz or better PPC, this would negate a Mac OS less than
9.x
All screenshots were taken running the SAFlashPlayer, on Mac OS 8.6
(via the SheepShaver emulator running on Windows XP). ![Smile][2]
This 1st dL is version 7.0r19 - if you have either older or newer v7
SAFP (NOT browser plugins!) please Please upload those to this page!

Compatibility
Architecture: PPC
Requires: a PPC Mac running Mac OS 8.6 to 10.4.11. This application
also runs on SheepShaver, but fast (complex) game play is not an
option here, at best (on SheepShaver) this is fine for playing or
converting Flash music clips or simple turn based games.
Requires: CarbonLib 1.4 or newer on Mac OS 8.6 to 9.2.2.
May work in PPC Leopard 10.5x, as yet not tested here.
