> ### About Eyes^3
>
> Eyes^3 (pronounced ?eyes cubed?) is an eyes program that works in
> the third dimension. Thanks to Apple?s QuickDraw? 3D technology, the
> eyes that Eyes^3 displays in its windows are real eye balls that
> rotate in 3D space. Colors and lighting can be customized. In
> addition, you can set the mouse?s simulated distance from the eyes.
> You can also specify a dominant eye, so that both eyes follow the
> dominant eye?s rotation.
>
> Eyes^3 is a module in a suite of three-dimensional applications
> collectively called Cubicle. Cubicle is a set of fully three-
> dimensional, interactive desk accessories. Another already-released
> module is Clock^3, a three-dimensional clock program. Watch out for
> additional QuickDraw? 3D-savvy Cubicle programs from this developer.

> ? excerpt from the enclosed "About Eyes^3 1.1" (readme) doc
Eyes^3 is not one of those programs that puts animated eyeballs in the
menu bar, or even (by themselves) on the desktop. Instead, it creates
a small, adjustable and relocatable window with a pair of customizable
eyeballs which track (i.e. stare at) the mouse-cursor position on the
screen.
Additional windows can be generated by typing command-N or selecting
New from the File menu (only while Eyes^3 is the foreground app), and
the maximum number of eyeballs that can cover the desktop is limited
only by the available memory.

Compatibility
Architecture: PPC
### System Requirements
Eyes^3 requires:
* a Power Macintosh
* QuickDraw? 3D version 1.0.3 or higher
* at least 16 megabytes of total memory
It has been explicitly tested on the following systems:
* Power Macintosh 8500/120 with 32 megabytes of memory and System
7.5.3
* PowerBook 5300/100 with 16 megabytes of memory and System 7.5.3
* Power Macintosh 7100/80 with 24 megabytes of memory and System
7.5.1
* Performa 5200/75 with 16 megabytes of memory and System 7.5.1
* Power Macintosh 7200/90 with 16 megabytes of memory and System
7.5.2.

The above system requirements were taken from the "About Eyes^3 1.1"
(readme) doc, but there are some additional limitations.
The main limitation is that Eyes^3 only works with QD3D v1.5.1 or
earlier. The additional limitation is that installers for QD3D v1.0.3,
v1.0.6, and v1.5.1 were only made available with Systems 7.5.3 through
MacOS 8.0, and the installers for the earliest versions of QD3D were
on separate floppy disks.
Therefore, to already have an earlier version of QD3D installed, you
would've had to have intentionally installed QD3D from the floppy
disks, or you would've had to have installed the OS from a CD-ROM net
install that automatically includes all of the extras.
However, thanks to Macintosh Garden, you also have the option of
simply downloading QD3D v1.5.1 from the [QuickDraw 3D][1] page. Just
be aware that if you're attempting to downgrade an existing
installation of QD3D, you'll need to remove the newer version of the
QD3D extensions from the System folder.
