This system extension adds a small pair of animated eyeballs to the
menu bar.

> "Eyes to keep you company"

It's true, what the quote says! After installing it, I've enjoyed the
company.

The version info for this extension shows:
Eyeball 1.0 by Ben Haller
Stick Software

It was bundled with [BigFoot][1] as [DeskCritters][2].

* * *

Download #1 is the 1989 'he' version (without eyelashes).

Download #2 is the 1990 'she' version (with eyelashes).

Both downloads are .sit-compressed DiskCopy images, to make it easier
to drag-and-drop the decompressed downloads into Mini vMac (II).

There is also an updated OS X verion: [Eyeballs (for OS X)][3]

Compatibility
Architecture: 68k

So far, both (he and she) versions have been tested in Mini vMac II,
Basilisk II, and SheepShaver, with Systems 6.0.8 through 8.6.

The 'she' version always leaves behind traces of the eyelashes around
the eyes that don't get erased, so the eyes end up looking "fuzzy".

Note: Mac OS 9.2.2 will hang on the desktop, with the mouse frozen,
after dragging this extension into your System/Extension Folder and
restarting. However, restarting with the mouse and keyboard
disconnected overcomes the issue.
