DOS Mounter Plus 4.1 is the "Plus" version of Dayna's [DOS Mounter
4.1][1], indicating that, in addition to its normal abilities mounting
and reading/writing from/to DOS-formatted disks and volumes, it also
comes with NetMounter, allowing your Macintosh to access volumes over
NetWare servers (previously [a separate product from Novell][2]).
In addition to the above, DOS Mounter Plus 4.1 is bundled with
MultiFormatter 4.1 (letting you "format, partition, and test [SCSI]
DOS media from your Macintosh") and MultiMounter ("provides a fully
Macintosh-compatible driver that lets you use DOS Mounter Plus to
mount both DOS- and Macintosh-format media in virtually all removable
media drives").
DOS Mounter Plus 4.1 should be compatible with [DaynaFile driver v4.1][3] (minimum compatible version is DaynaFile 3.03).
On launch, DOS Mounter Plus 4.1 will ask you to personalize your
software. The serial number for the disk images on this page is
`DS137530`, however it is not required to proceed.
Imaged from original media as two 800k Disk Copy 4.2 disk images,
compressed with StuffIt 1.5.1, and encoded as BinHex 4.0.
DOS Mounter Plus 4.1 can be installed using the disk "DOS Mounter
Plus?" and running the Installer. "MultiFormatter?", the second of two
disks in this package, is only required if installing MultiFormatter,
MultiMounter, or NetMounter. To install one of them, select
"Customize" in the Installer, and then select the appropriate version
for your system software.
Also included on the disk "DOS Mounter Plus?" is FirstClass Client
2.0.9, from [SoftArc][4], including a FirstClass server link to Dayna
Communications' BBS ("DaynaOnline"). To install, launch the "sea"
archive found on the disk, and then select an install location.
