DiskLocker can be used to lock hard drives, floppies, or cartridges,
and password-protect their lock status. It can neither lock nor unlock
a physically locked disk.
It also has the presumably unintended ability to circumvent other
security solutions that use similar software-based disk locking, such
as BDW Software's MacControl.
DL #1: Version 1.3, which requires Mac OS 7.0 or higher
DL #2: Version 1.2, which requires Mac OS 7.0 or higher
DL #3: Version 1.0v1, which the author tested in Mac OS 6.0.7
DL #4: A 1.4 MB boot disk designed to defeat MacControl on [Macs that
support System 7.0.1][1]. After booting from the floppy, use
DiskLocker to unlock the computer's hard drive, and then use the
DiskTop desk accessory to remove MacControl's Control Extension from
the Extensions folder.
