Dimmer is a CDEV (control panel) written for the Macintosh II as an
alternative to screensavers for protecting CRT monitors from burn-in.
As the name suggests, it dims the screen after a period of idle time,
as set in the CDEV's settings.

Compatibility
Architecture: 68k

According to the manual for Screen Gems, which originally came
packaged with a version of Dimmer, the CDEV uses "typically" less than
10k of RAM, making it ideally suited for conserving memory while still
protecting a CRT monitor. It should work with "most" color and
monochrome Macintosh II video cards.
